“Chag Sameach! Yom Teruah…”

“Chag Sameach! Yom Teruah!”  (Festive joy, Day of blowing, blasting on trumpets)

Have a wonderful day of celebration, the Day of Trumpets is here!

Lev. 23:24 “Speak to the children of Israel saying, “In the seventh month in the first day of the month (Heb: echad, first, one i.e. New Moon) shall you have a Sabbath,  (Heb: shabbathon, special holiday, rest) a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy (Heb: qodesh, separateness, sacredness) convocation” (Heb miqra, sacred assembly, reading, public meeting)

Today is a very special celebration, a day of rejoicing, of joy and gladness…it is literally a day of blowing trumpets (curved horns) to announce the beginning of the special 7th. month of the Hebrew calendar.

The seventh month is full of hope, expectation, thanksgiving and the intrigue  of three holy Festivals of Elohim, 1. Day of Trumpets, 2. Day of Atonement, and 3. the grand Feast of Tabernacles, (celebrating the ingathering of the harvest.)

The Day of Trumpets is a celebration of Yahshua’s victory on our behalf and a picture that looks forward to the time of Yahshua’s return, a time of joy and celebration, looking forward to Yahshua’s seven thousandth year, a 1000 year reign, a Sabbath, Yahshua’s fellowship and reign with His people on earth. This is called the Second Coming when we who are alive will be changed in the twinkling of an eye and will be like Him, and with Him for His 1000 year reign on earth.

You may ask, if you are a Gentile, “Why should I keep the Feasts?” Well, you are right, there is no commandment to the Gentiles re. the Feasts, but one day everyone shall keep them, at least one of them,

Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Zec 14:17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

And they are of course, are Feasts of Yahweh, not man…

Lev 23:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Lev 23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

So, to all who are celebrating, I say again…

“Chag Semeach! Yom Teruah, Yom Tov!”

(Festive joy, Day of blowing, (blasting on trumpets) Wonderful day!)
